ABOUT

b. 1988
Colorado Springs, CO

Though I’ve historically worked as an oil painter, my creative roots run deeper and wider—into ceramics, metalwork, jewelry making, woodworking, quilting, millwork, mosaic, and tile. These ways of working with my hands have shaped how I understand the world. This body of work brings them together through assemblage, a format that lets me explore how we’re formed—not with perfect squares or angles, but piece by piece—through relationships, rupture, care, time, and chance.

What do we do with the pieces we’re given? How do we make meaning from a life we only partially get to choose? These assemblages honor the people who’ve shaped me—mentors, therapists, nutritionists, spiritual guides—and use that gratitude as a lens for a larger question about transformation.Within each mix of materials is a quiet kind of logic—personal, symbolic. Each fragment—wood, brass, acrylic, marble—carries weight. Together, they form a language that speaks to our experiences, memory, and the collective nature of becoming.

It’s about how we carry what we’ve been through—and how we might let it change us. Slowly, quietly, we piece things together. In doing so, we shape something to offer back: a kind of beauty that makes space for others to do the same.
